Tails
Also known as Miles Prowers, also known as Sonic the Hedgehog’s best friend. My nephew Jamal loves this Tails character, as did I when I was his age. So for his 11th birthday I recreated this foxy cake for him. It’s almost half a meter tall and made out of modeling chocolate and fondant. This time, I hid the cake in Tails’ shoes! I know, it’s a small cake, more like two decorated cupcakes, but that was more than enough, especially since there was another birthday cake in that same celebration (for his twin sister Najwa). Jamal was ecstatic about it, but then got really sad when he discovered we were going to cut into his shoes and eat them. To make him happy, I promised to recreate the shoes without cake and so I did.
מוכר גם בשם מיילס פראוור, מוכר גם כחברו הטוב ביותר של סוניק הקיפוד. האחיין שלי ג’מאל מאוד אוהב את הדמות, וגם אני כשהייתי בגילו. ליום הולדתו ה-11, יצרתי לו את הדמות השועלית כעוגה. זה מגיע כמעט עד לחצי מטר בגובה ומורכב משוקולד פיסולי ובצק סוכר. הפעם, הסתרתי את העוגה בנעליו! אני יודע, זו עוגה קטנה, יותר כמו שני קאפקייקס מעוצבים מאשר עוגה, אבל זה היה מספיק, במיוחד שהיתה עוגת יום הולדת נוספת באירוע (לאחותו התאומה נג’ואה). ג’מאל מאוד התרגש מהעוגה, אבל אז ממש התבאס כשגילה שאנחנו הולכים לחתוך את הנעליים ולאכול אותם. כדי לשמח אותו, הבטחתי ליצור את הנעליים מחדש אך הפעם ללא עוגה, וכך אכן עשיתי.
