The royal crown

When my cousin got married she asked me to make her a wedding cake. It’s so hard to say no to wedding cakes. Naturally I said yes. I didn’t know what I got myself into. Along with the wedding cake, she asked for a second cake. If I remember correctly, her friend had a birthday that same day and she just wanted to make her happy. She asked for a golden crown on a pillow. Now how could I say no to that either? I took the challenge and made her two cakes, one for her wedding and one for her friend. Anything to make a bride happy.

כשבת דודי התחתנה היא ביקשה ממני להכין את עוגת החתונה שלה. כל כך קשה להגיד לא לעוגות חתונה. נעניתי מיד בחיוב. האמת, לא ידעתי למה הכנסתי את עצמי. בנוסף לעוגת החתונה, היא ביקשה עוד עוגה. אם אני זוכר נכון, חברה טובה שלה חגגה יום הולדת ביום החתונה והיא פשוט רצתה לשמח אותה. היא ביקשה עוגה בצורת כרית ומעליה כתר מוזהב. איך אני יכול להגיד לא לזה? לקחתי על עצמי את האתגר והכנתי לה שתי עוגות, אחת לחתונה שלה והשנייה לחברה שלה. הכל כדי לשמח את הכלה.
