Yoshi
It’s been more than 2 years since I last sculpted anything from modeling chocolate. I felt a little bit rusty at the start, but little by little, I eased into it and quite enjoyed the process. I almost forgot how fun it is to lose yourself into sculpting and in creating such a beloved figure. Zoher, my nephew who just turned 4, licked the figure from excitement. Yoshi, a dinosaur (or maybe a dragon), is Mario’s trusted steed from the famous video games. Yoshi has a long tongue that he uses to catch items from a distance with, swallow them and then spit them out at need. This time, Yoshi uses his tongue to hold a giant chocolate cupcake, layered with dark chocolate ganache. To top it all, the cherry on top is a Bob-omb, ready to explode and serve some cake 😉
עברו כבר יותר משנתיים מאז שפיסלתי דמות כלשהי מבצק שוקולד פיסולי. הרגשתי קצת חלוד בהתחלה, אבל לאט לאט נכנסתי לזה ומאוד נהניתי מהתהליך. כמעט שכחתי כמה כיף זה לצלול לתוך פיסול ויצירת דמות כה אהובה. זוהייר, האחיין שלי שבדיוק חגג יום הולדת 4, ליקק את הדמות מהתרגשות. יושי, דינוזאור (או אולי דרקון), הוא “סוסו” הנאמן של מריו ממשחקי הווידאו המפורסמים. ליושי יש לשון ארוכה שהוא משתמש בה כדי לתפוס פריטים ממרחק גדול יותר, אותם הוא בולע ואז יורק בעת הצורך. הפעם, יושי משתמש בלשונו כדי להחזיק קאפקייק שוקולד ענקי, עם שכבות של גנאש שוקולד מריר. הדובדבן שמעל הקצפת זה בעצם בוב-אומב, מוכן להתפוצץ ולהגיש את העוגה לאורחים 😉
