Cake SMASH!
Oh How I enjoyed making this one! Before my niece’s Nadine celebrated her 1st birthday, I asked my sister to send me a photo of her birthday dress. The dress was colorful and just perfect for a cake. So I created a dress-like cake with the same design and colors. We put Nadine next to the cake. The whole family gathered around her and all the attention was on her. We were all waiting for her to start smashing and eat the cake. The poor thing couldn’t handle the pressure and just started crying. I asked for everyone to back off and we let her explore the cake by herself. It worked. She was so happy and even let the youngest niece join in on the fun.
כמה שנהיתי להכין את העוגה הזו! קצת לפני שחגגנו יום הולדת שנה לאחיינית שלי נדין, ביקשתי מאחותי שתשלח לי תמונה של שמלת יום ההולדת שלה. השמלה היתה צבעונית ופשוט מושלמת לעוגה. אז הכנתי עוגה בדמות שמלה עם גזרה וצבעים דומים. הושבנו את נדין ליד העוגה. כל המשפחה התאספה מסביבה וכל תשומת הלב נפלה עליה. כולנו חיכינו שהיא תתחיל לפרק ולאכול את העוגה. המסכנה לא יכלה להתמודד עם הלחץ ופשוט פרצה בבכי. ביקשתי מכולם לקחת צעד אחד אחורה ואפשרנו לה לגלות את העוגה בעצמה. זה עבד. היא היתה כה שמחה ואפילו נתנה לאחיינית הכי קטנה במשפחה להצטרף לחגיגה.
