Jasmine revisited
8 years ago, my niece Yasmine celebrated her 1st birthday. I surprised everyone when I brought this Princess Jasmine cake, except the birthday girl who was too young to understand what was happening around her. Today she’s all grown up and didn’t even hesitate to ask. She wanted yet another Jasmine themed cake for her 9th birthday party. I thought to myself, what a wonderful opportunity to recreate that cake again, with tools and knowledge I acquired throughout the years. This time, Yasmine herself could appreciate the creation as well, which she’s planning to keep till it goes bad. Jasmine is made mostly out of modeling chocolate. The pillow is a chocolate cake covered by fondant.
לפני 8 שנים, האחיינית שלי יסמין חגגה את יום ההולדת הראשון שלה. הפתעתי את כולם כשהבאתי איתי את עוגת הנסיכה יסמין הזו, חוץ בעצם מילדת יום ההולדת שהיתה צעירה מדי להבין את כל מה שהתרחש סביבה. היום היא כבר ילדה גדולה שלא מהססת לבקש. היא ביקשה עוגת יסמין נוספת למסיבת יום הולדתה ה-9. חשבתי לעצמי, איזו הזדמנות נפלאה לשחזר את אותה העוגה, עם הכלים והידע שצברתי במהלך השנים. הפעם, יסמין תוכל גם ליהנות מהיצירה עצמה, אותה היא מתכננת לשמור עד שתיהרס. את יסמין יצרתי משוקולד פיסולי ברובה. הכרית מסתירה עוגת שוקולד מתחת למעטפת בצק סוכר.
