Roses for mom

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so is this cake. On the 21^st of March my dear mom celebrated her birthday, Levantine mother’s day and the beginning of spring! It’s a big celebration every time. Since she loves red roses so much I made her a cake studded with a top of red fondant roses. Hidden inside was a honey cake to make the celebration even sweeter.

הוורדים אדומים, הסיגליות כחולות, הסוכר מתוק וכך גם העוגה הזו. בכל 21 לחודש מרץ, אימי היקרה חוגגת את יום הולדתה, יום האם הלבנטיני ואת תחילת האביב! זו אכן חגיגה גדולה בכל פעם. מאחר והיא כה אוהבת ורדים אדומים, החלטתי להכין לה עוגה מלאה בוורדים אדומים מבצק סוכר. בפנים מתחבאת עוגת דבש שהפכה את החגיגה למתוקה עוד יותר.
